Real Raw – Day 23 – Loving My Work

30 09 2008

The alarm goes off so early, I'm sure it's a mistake. But it's not. It's time to go to the gym. I use the time-honored method of asking myself how I will feel if I don't work out, and decide to get up. Spin class is brutal, but I make it through and continue to wonder, all day, if I should have gone.

Breakfast: I wanted to make oatmeal, but there is just not enough time. Kefir, fresh blackberries, flaxseed oil, agave nectar, and sliced banana fill the bill, and I'm off…(does this sound familiar?)

When I come back from taking my son to school, I make the "batter" for crackers (walnuts, flaxseeds, and zucchini are the primary ingredients), and set them in the dehydrator.

Snack: Fresh pineapple (It needed to be eaten and I just LOVE pineapple.)

Lunch: Leftover Shepherd's pie (the last of it) – I really want something warmed, but don't want to take the time to do it. Two pieces of Ezekial bread (is this why I'm not losing weight?) with margarine. I eat, sitting in the sun, reading, getting warm, remembering why I love to work at home.

Dinner: Carrot/coriander/ginger soup with sesame crackers and raw cheese. Yum, double yum.

Verdict: Pretty good, everything considering. the sesame crackers and Ezekial bread are the only non-raw thing eaten today. That, and my evening chocolate.
